PDP Chieftain  Olusina Emerges  SouthWest NANS ‘Patron , Bags Excellence Award 

Chieftain of the people’s Democratic party (PDP) ,Hon. Ogunsola Olusina  John has been appointed patron of the apex students’body ,National Association of Nigeria Students(NANS).
At the ceremony organised by NANS) Zone D, Southwest Nigeria, at the Conference Hall of Forestry research institute of Nigeria (FRIN), Jericho Hill, Ibadan, Olusina, a House of Representatives aspirant in Oluyole Federal Constituency in 2023 election,also bagged an award of Excellence
In his address  at the inaguration and dinner  for the newly elected NANS zone D executives,Olusina who was Guest Speaker  admonished  leadership of NANS, southwest to develop  themselves and work together for them to achieve their dreams of a better society.The NANS SouthWest  is being led by Comrade John Alao
Olusina,  financial expert and politician who was the guest speaker in his address entitled *”ROLE OF STUDENTS AS A STRATEGY FOR STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT IN NIGERIA argued that  students were  the reasons  the schools existed and they are the best community anyone can boast of.
The former lecturer also urged them to stay away from social vices rather build an enviable legacy for the incoming leaders.
He underscored  the importance of community engagement strategy, importance of community engagement, community engagement best practices, how to create a safe environment for engagement among others; he encouraged the new leadership to build trust, increase people’s loyalty, empower community members.
In his remarks, Comrade Alao John said, Hon. Ogunsola was not just picked to become the Southwest Patron of the Association but he’s been part of the struggle from the beginning till he ascended the highest NANS Office in the southwest Zone D.
“It’s a deserving honour, he stated further that the leadership of the association also recognized his outstanding contributions and achievements. He invited comrade Orlando to decorate Hon. Olusina as the Zone D, southwest PATRON of National Association of Nigerian students and was subsequently conferred with an award of Excellence as a significant honor, acknowledging his dedication and exceptional work. Additionally, his appointment as the patron of the National Association of Nigerian Students demonstrates the trust and respect the organization has for him.
“Hon. Ogunsola John Olusina will serve in advisory role and advocate for the National Association of Nigerian Students. He will provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the students in the zone, promoting their interests and welfare.
“His appointment signifies the belief that he possesses the qualities and experience necessary to positively impact the organization and its members.
“This recognition and appointment highlight Hon. Ogunsola John Olusina’s contributions and his commitment to the betterment of Nigerian students.
In his remarks,  Sunday Asefon,the  outgoing NANS president  appreciated the gesture extended to them by Hon. Ogunsola and assured him of their total commitment to his cause “Be assured sir that we are solidly behind you in your Political journey, we will mobilise our members for you when necessary, you have given us a very rare support, we are behind you, you are now part of us and we are wise now, whoever loves us like you will be loved”.
Among the dignitaries  were the Oyo State Commissioner of police, DSS Director, Captains of industries, Special Advisers to the governor of Oyo, Osun, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti States as well as  students leaders across all the higher institutions in the  southwest.
