Former Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) ,Hon Tale Oguntoyinbo has enjoined security agencies to leave no stone unturned in finding the killers of undergraduate student of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti(FUOYE) ,late miss Atanda Deborah,
A community leader also called on sons and daughters of the University town to join hands with the school management and security agencies on the matter .
Oguntoyinbo, the Obalodo designate and former chairman of Oye Local Government, in his conscience message to the students body and university management said it was incumbent on the stakeholders in the community to assist the security agencies to arrest the perpetrators of the dastardly act .inorder to safeguard the image of the town.
While condemning the gruesome murder of late Deborah on September 6th,Oguntoyinbo also admonished religious leaders to offer prayers for the reposed soul of the deceased and her family.
He said said “it is heartless, barbaric, and unimaginable for somebody to plan and kill a fellow person for whatever reason, particularly a student sent to school by the parents to study for better future.
Oguntoyinbo expressed sympathy and condolences to the parents of the students, the V C , Prof. Abayomi Adesina and the entire management of the university, and the student union body over this dastard and unfortunate incident.
He praised the efforts of the Nigerian Police, Amontekun, and other law enforcement agencies for the arrest of 10 suspected persons in connection with the matter and anybody or group of persons found culpable must be allowed to face appropriate sanctions.
Oguntoyinbo appealed to Oye sons and daughters, home and abroad to rally round the university authority to unearth the situation which led to the sad incident so that people will not tarnish the good name of the community built from time immemorial.
Hon. Tale Oguntoyinbo called on all religious leaders in the community, both traditional and Christian to converge for fervent prayers so that those who perpetrated this act of Evil can come out and confess.
