News alert : Why APC Ado-Ekiti Ward Eleven Chairman Was Suspended- SSG

– reiterates Oyebanji’s commitment to grassroots development

No fewer than 250 members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) were empowered by the   Secretary to the Ekiti State Government, (SSG) Habibat Adubiaro  at her ward eleven in Ado-Ekiti.
The SSG who  was the  Special guest of honour at the Special event/  ward meeting announced  donations of   N10,000  each to 20 regular  party members who were mainly widows and aged.
Alhaja Adubiaro  was received at the meeting by ward leaders ,
Femi Oguntoyinbo – the Ward 11 acting Chairman, Chairman of Ado-West Local Council Development Area,  Adeyemi Taiwo and Prince Niyi Adedipe (Apase Oodua)
Over 200  ward members also received palliatives .The items distributed included : Rice ,Noddies and Soft Drinks
The items were donated in conjunction with another member of the ward and Commissioner for  Trade and Inrstmrnt Ekiti State .,Hon Tayo Adeola ejo also donated eight bags of rice.
The Commissioner also promised to do more for his people on regular  basis .
Addressing party supporters, the SSG disclosed that the gesture was in line with governor Biodun Oyebanji’s vision to ensuring that the vulnerables are captured  in the developmental strides .
She assured the  social intervention programme of the current administration  would be regular and sustained inorder for the people to feel the impact of the government.
While rolling out her contributions to the ward upon assuming office as SSG, she said she has been paying monthly salaries to some beneficiaries in the ward, and has secured job opportunities for many.
She charged members of the ward to support the new acting Chairman and tasked Oguntoyinbo to always work towards achieving the six-point agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
In her words, “I’m glad that I come from Ado-Ekiti, ward 11 because ward 11 is the most fortunate.
“The first Lady, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji is from this ward, we are very fortunate.
Explaining the circumstances  which led to the suspension of  the former ward Chairman, Oba Adegoke, the SSG  attributed it  to alleged disregard to the  constituted authority.
She clarified that  the acting Chairman will serve for 3 months pending the local government elections come december, 2023.
“We are all one, if there’s any glitches between us, we should be able to amend and scold each other.
“I asked the former chairman to write some names but he refused to inform the leaders before doing so. He did it on his own accord and when I challenged him, he disrespected me and told me to do my worse.
“I informed the leaders and they said he must serve punishment for a temporary time.
“We will continue to progress in the good work in ward 11 and other wards for the benefit of Ekiti State.”
In his address of welcome, the acting Chairman, Femi Oguntoyinbo promised to serve the members with loyalty and not to contempt the constituted authority of the state.
While calling for peace in the forthcoming local government election, the pioneer APC Chairman of Ado-West Local Council Development Area,  Adeyemi Taiwo, popularly known as Alagba appealed to members of the ward to cooperate with the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) to ensure fair and fair election.
The ward meeting witnessed the  unveiling of two members of the ward who are contesting for Counselorship election namely Omobola Ajayi and Daramola Tolulope.
