Late Fajuyi,Afe Babalola Others For ” Ekiti Council of Elders Hall of Fame”

Ekiti Council of Elders  is set to recognize and honour  eminent indigenes  and iconic personalities dead or living in the state.
This  category of people who have positively  impacted on society would be inducted  into elders’  august  “Hall of Fame” .
A statement  by the Chairman and the General Secretary of council
 ,Prof Joseph Oluwasanmi and Elder Niyi Ajibulu, respectively said ” the Hall of Fame is basically to display, showcase and honour our living heroes and heroes past as icons of probity, success and service to humanity.
In  the list of the inductees were ,Late Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi – War Hero, Nigerian Martyr and Epitome of Loyalty , Aare Afe Babalola SAN-Founder & Chancellor of Afe Babalola University. Ado Ekiti & Philanthropist,
and  Chief Deji Fasuan-Outstanding Champion of Ekiti State Creation:
The statement said the Council ” is concerned with the prevalence of moral decadence, especially the desire for material success by hook or crook and unrestrained disrespect towards elders and iconic personalities.
“The Council has always been vehement and proactive in discouraging vices and encouraging virtues of probity and uprightness In furtherance of our goals to achieve a healthy society and through cultural regeneration, the Council has instituted the Ekiti Council of Elders Hall of Fame”
“This, the Council strongly believes will inspire, our youths to pursue ambition and life styles that follow the path of honour of these cultural icons.
“Consequent upon the above, the Ekiti Council of Elders in its maiden edition coming up this Thursday, October 26, 2023 shall elevate the following personalities, namely:
Others were,  Prof. Mrs Olufunke Egunjobi Pioneer Female Educationist; ,Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN- Community Development Champion and Philanthropist.
The Council’s search light is perpetually beaming with the aim of identifying, recognizing and honouring others periodically.

  1. This is a laudable initiative from the elders whereby the current generation of Youth can have Models, around us, to emulate.
    The current generation seems not to be interested in the Culture of OMOLUWABI
    They want to be 200% Free but 0% Responsible. Congratulations.
