The management of Women Radio 91.7 FM Lagos has hailed the appointment of Franca Aiyetan as the first female secretary of the National Broadcasting Commission(NBC).
The Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of two Radio Stations ,Toun Okewale Sonaiya ,Women Radio 91.7 FM and Angela Agoawike CEO Omalicha 91.1 FM had paid a courtesy to new appointee.

They duo ,who used the occasion to congratulate Aiyetan on her new appointment also promised greater support and collaboration.
The senior female broadcasters also described Aiyetan as a role model and good ambassador of female gender .
Aiyetan is the first woman to take on this full-fledged position since NBC was established in 1992.
Aiyetan joined NBC in 1995 as a Senior Public Affairs Officer. In 2006, as an Assistant Chief and moved to the mainstream Monitoring and Enforcement and rose to become the First Female Zonal Director Abuja in 2012, where she raised the stakes of broadcast regulation. In 2019, Aiyetan was promoted to the position of Director and was returned to head the Public Affairs of the commission.
Between 2021 and December 2023 she served as Director in charge of the Directorate of Broadcast Monitoring.
Mrs. Franca Aiyetan is a graduate of Performing Arts from the University of Ilorin and holds a Masters degree in Media Arts from the University of Abuja
