EKSU VC To Launch  Campaign Against GenderbasedViolence 

The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, Professor Babatola Ayodele has promised to lead the campaign against  all act of gender based violence in the university.
Bode Olofinmuagun, the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, in a statement  said  VC also spoke of his readiness  to flush out bad eggs in the university community.
Speaking  while hosting the leadership of EKSU Alumni Association, led by the Global President, Engr. Dipo Bamisaye in his office at Ado –  Ekiti, Professor Ayodele maintained that indiscipline of any form would not be tolerated under his administration .
He said his administration would  frown at every form of exploitation, intimidation, oppression, sexual harassment and any act of gender based violence in the university.
The Vice Chancellor expressed appreciation to the Alumni Association for its various interventions in the university and appealed for the siting of more projects that would benefit members of the university community.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele as well as the Visitor to the university, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for their unwavering commitments to ensure the infrastructural development of Ekiti State University.
Earlier, the Global Alumni President, Engr. Dipo Bamisaye, congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his appointment and described him as “a complete gentleman whose academic achievements stood him out.”
Engr. Bamisaye condemned the recent allegation of sexual harassment against a Professor and urged the Vice Chancellor to nip it in the bud in order to protect the good image of the ivory tower. He promised the association’s continuous support to the university.
