Oye-Ekiti was agog on Sunday as the installation activities of the Obalodo Designate of Ilodo Quarters, Bamitale Oguntoyinbo began with various traditional rites which included visits to strategic and symbolic ancestral places within the kingdom.
Oguntoyinbo,accompanied by many elders and youths, received blessings in all the places visited including the palace of the Oloye of Oye Ekiti, Oba Oluwole Ademolaju.
Addressing the gathering at Obalodo House, Oguntoyinbo who was former Director, National Orientation Agency(NOA) and former Chairman of Oye Local Government gave thanks to God for the peaceful takeoff of the installation activities.

thanked the people for coming out in their numbers to accompany him on the visits to key areas in the town.
The Obalodo Designate however urged them to be peaceful during the week long event, promising to use his connection to transform Ilodo Quarters.
Some elders, Chief Samuel Ajiboye and Mr Adeyemi Olusanya described the turn of the people as a sign of acceptability of Mr Oguntoyinbo going by his contributions to the growth of Oye Ekiti.
Meanwhile, the Obalodo Designate, Mr Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has
retired to Chief Elemuyin (RMRD) Apota (DRD) House in Oye Ekiti to observe the mandatory seven days Ipebi (DDM) where he will be receiving visitors as from Monday.
