My Last  Moments With  Buhari – Femi Adesina

On March 17, 2025, I was at the Kaduna home of President Muhammadu Buhari, to welcome him to the former capital of the Northern region. He had recently moved from Daura, in Katsina State, to the famous Crocodile City.

I asked how he was doing, and he said he was okay, since he was now free of the burden of Nigeria. General laughter.

We discussed many pertinent issues about our country, and I stayed till the following day before taking my leave. I didn’t know it was the last time I would see him alive.

About two weeks later, the unique and iconic man went to London for what was thought to be routine medical check up. He never came back alive. Sad. Painful.

He was buried on Tuesday, July 15 in Daura, Katsina State.

My tribute to my boss and senior friend is cooking. Coming soon. In hours, not days.
