Former chairman of Oye Local Government,Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo has charged the Benue Community in Ekiti State to participate fully in the ongoing voters registration.
Oguntoyinbo, the Obalodo of Oye Kingdom gave this charge while receiving members of the Benue Community’ living in Oye Local Government.
He urged them to reciprocate the good gestures of the Oyebanji’s administration towards them ,by ensuring that the governor is reelected with massive votes .
Oguntoyinbo,who doubles as the Ekiti State chairman of the Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) equally advised the Benue indigenes to be law abiding and continue to contribute to the socio -economic development of their host communities .
Chief Oguntoyinbo who described the visit as historic and symbolic said it was a show of love and respect for the institution of Obalodo .
The Obalodo therefore urged to be law abiding and shun all acts of crime and criminality.
Numbering about 120, the leadership of the settlers said they were in Obalodo’s residence to rejoice with him on his installation as Obalodo,and for the successful hosting of Oro Oye or Ode festival 2026.
The settlers were led by Mr. Daniel Upele, Mr. Ujere Peter ,and Isaac Ajogi. They described Obalodo as a fearless leader with high integrity and honesty.
According to them ,Chief Oguntoyinbo is a dependable personality whose legacies as Oye Local Government endured .
They however promised to. support Chief Oguntoyinbo,in order for him to succeed in his new position.
