Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, has
applauded Bimbo Daramola’s remarkable initiative in organizing a fitness walk christened “The BAO WALK”.
He stressed that a fitness walk is more than an event, but a movement towards healthier living.
The monthly wellness walk was initiated by a former member of the House of Representatives Hon. Bimbo Daramola (alias congressman).The BAOWALK 12.0 is scheduled to hold in Irepodun/Ifelodun on March 21, 2026, starting at 7am.
Receiving the convener and his team in Ado-Ekiti, preparatory to the hosting of the 12th edition of the exercise ,Senator Bamidele maintained that the BAO Walk not only promotes healthy living but also brings the community together.
Senator Bamidele who promised to join the walk praised Hon. Bimbo Daramola for the positive initiative with immeasurable benefits.
According to him , a health walk is globally recognized as the best form of exercise, preventing or managing life-threatening diseases.
Senator Bamidele challenged Irepodun/Ifelodun residents to surpass previous participation records, demonstrating their support for Governor Oyebanji.
Bamidele therefore urged his constituents to participate actively in the event.
Responding , Daramola appreciated the Senate Leader’s endorsement, assuring that arrangements are in place for a successful hosting of the event
He explained that the BAO.Walk initiative aims to acknowledge Governor Oyebanji’s giant strides in the health sector ,and to also raise awareness on personal health responsibility, complementing government efforts to build a healthy society.
