CAPTURED PLATEAU CHRISTIAN TERRORISTS MUST FACE FULL WRATH OF THE LAW – MURIC

‎‎Men of Operation Enduring Peace, one of the code names of troops of the Nigerian Army maintaining security in the country’s hotbeds have reportedly arrested nine suspected militia members responsible for targeted killings in Plateau State.

‎ The arrests allegedly took place on Saturday, 18th April 2026. Arms and ammunition were also recovered during the operation in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.

‎ ‎ Reacting to the arrests, a civil liberties organization, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has warned that the case must not be swept under the carpet. While hailing the Nigerian Army, the group said the arrested individuals must face the full wrath of the law.

‎‎MURIC spoke via its Executive Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, who issued a statement on Tuesday, 21st April, 2026.

‎‎The statement reads:

‎‎”Gallant Nigerian troops of Operation Enduring Peace, one of the code names of troops of the Nigerian Army maintaining security in the country’s hotbeds have reportedly arrested nine suspected militia members responsible for targeted killings in Plateau State. (https://www.thecable.ng/troops-arrest-nine-suspected-militia-members-in-plateau-recover-weapons/).

‎‎”Eight of the suspects were identified as Gyang Dantoro, Samson Davou, Choji Yakubu, Vincent Adamu, Pam Dalyop, Femi Badung, Jacob Musa, and Choji Chaga. All the suspects are Berom and residents of Danwal.

‎‎”Arms and ammunition recovered from the suspects include three motorcycles, one pistol, one submachine gun, one locally made revolver, one rifle, 20 rounds of pistol ammunition, and one locally fabricated rifle.

*“MURIC hails the Nigerian Army for this feat. We are horrified by the sophisticated weapons seized during the raid. We note in particular the submachine gun, a deadly weapon capable of firing up to 1,400 bullets within minutes! It is used only during war. Who do the Christian Berom militia want to wipe out? The answer is not far-fetched: Plateau Muslims who they refer to as non-indigenes.*

‎‎”Although we have always maintained that there are terrorists among the Christians of Berom tribe in Plateau State (https://www.nairaland.com/4768579/pampering-berom-christian-terrorists-muric), the latest discovery has helped to vindicate us.

‎‎”The signs have always been there particularly going by the number of Muslim individuals and groups who have disappeared in that zone, including hundreds of Muslim travellers who have been killed in the state.

“The recurring decimal of gun factory discoveries is also a major indicator of the violence targeting Muslim communities although fabricated narratives like those of Reverend Dachomo try to mislead observers.*

‎‎”Apart from the South East, there is no zone where illegal gun factories have been found in large numbers like Plateau and Benue. We can back our claim with evidence.

‎‎”Nigerian troops raided an illegal arms factory in Heipang District of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State on 17th September, 2025.

Similarly, on 14th February, 2024, another gun manufacturing factory was busted by soldiers in the Mangu Local Government area of the state. The factory owner, one Nuhu Meshack, is reportedly on the run ‎(https://www.arise.tv/nigerian-military-busts-gun-manufacturing-factory-in-plateau/).

“In November 2023, a cache of arms was recovered at another illegal arms factory located at Vom, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. Two individuals Micheal Dung (33 years old) and Yusuf Pam (43 years) were both apprehended, at the illegal factory (‎https://www.channelstv.com/2023/11/05/troops-recover-cache-of-arms-at-illegal-weapon-manufacturing-factory-in-plateau/).

“Again, Mr. Tapshak Plangji, 25, was arrested at another illegal arms factory in Pakachi Village, Mangu local government area of Plateau State. That was two years ago (‎https://leadership.ng/troops-find-another-arms-factory-in-plateau/).

“We can go on and on because internet’s memory is ad infinitum particularly with more evidence from Benue which has similar characteristics of secretly killing the Muslims in their midst. But our audience cannot stomach the length.

*“In view of the notoriety of some Christian leaders and individuals of Plateau State for collusion and official cover-ups in matters like this, there is need to remind those authorities of massive public interest in this case in particular. The case of the Plateau nine must not be withdrawn from court.*

“Nigerians are no longer interested in the Plateau drama queens who dance naked around corpses to deceive security agents. We are also watching the governor of Plateau State for any sign of executive cover. Christian governors of the Middle Belt must eschew the culture of killing serious cases involving Christian terrorists.

‎“Rev. Dachomo can see for himself that all those involved in the current case are his kinsmen. He cannot disown them. It drives home the point that ‎Christian genocide narrative is more or less a pot calling kettle black affair. Our Christian neighbours are adept at accusing Muslims of crimes they themselves are committing just to divert attention. Nigerians are not surprised that there is no single Fulani or Muslim name on the list.”
