Outrage as NSCDC Officer Allegedly Poured Hot Water On Female Domestic Worker

 

Public outrage has greeted the alleged mistreatment of Mercy Hajara Mohammed,a female domestic worker by one Favour Achor, said to be a Chief Superintendent of the Civil Defence (NSCDC),

The suspect who is said to be from Idah in Kogi State, residing at Walidah Estate, Keffi in Nasarawa State, is alleged to be mistreating her maid who stays with her.

Recent pictures and videos have emerged showing where she poured hot water on the teenager’s breast and locked her up in the house to make sure she didn’t get help, so the effect of the hot water would be severe. It wasn’t immediately clear what the offence of the teenager is.

The victim, named Mercy Hajara Mohammed, from Kontagora in Niger State, is presently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center, Keffi, Nasarawa State.

It is also alleged that Favor Akor, is using her position with the NSCDC to frustrate any investigation into the incident.

Some neighbors have confirmed that she has been in the habit of beating and starving the child to the point where she was reported to the police but she manipulated her way out of Police intervention.

The father of the child is also said to be afraid of taking the case up because of the woman’s position in the NSCDC. This calls for urgent attention and justice please.
