Inter-Agency Collaboration: Army 8 Brigade Commander Visits FRSC Ekiti Sector

 

The Federal Road Safety Corps, Ekiti Sector Command, has reaffirmed its commitment to sustained inter-agency collaboration for effective service delivery.

The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye, FCIPurS, MCILT, on Tuesday, October 7, 2026, received in audience the Pioneer Commander, 8 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Mohammed Sanni Adamu and his entourage on a familiarization visit to the Sector Command Headquarters in Ado-Ekiti.

The visit, according to Brig. Gen. Adamu, was aimed at strengthening existing synergy, fostering a cordial working relationship and exploring areas of mutual collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the Federal Road Safety Corps.

The Brigade Commander was warmly received by the Sector Commander and Principal Staff Officers of the Command. On arrival, he was accorded the honour of inspecting the Quarter Guard.

In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Adamu expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his team. He commended the Sector Commander for his exemplary leadership, applauded the neatness, smartness and discipline of personnel and lauded the general outlook and organization of the Command Headquarters.

He noted that among the security agencies, the FRSC remains one of the closest sister agencies to the Nigerian Army and commended the Sector Commander for prioritizing staff welfare through the establishment of a functional clinic in the Command. He expressed satisfaction with the high level of professionalism displayed by officers and men of the Command.

In his response, the Sector Commander, CC Sanya Adeoye, appreciated the Brigade Commander and his entourage for the visit. He emphasized the need for sustained collaboration, open communication channels and robust intelligence sharing for enhanced security and safety in Ekiti State. He assured the Nigerian Army of the Command’s full cooperation and support at all times.

The visit was climaxed with exchange of souvenirs by the two Commanders and a group photograph.
