George Akosile’s ‘Death Colossal Loss To Ekiti – Omoleye

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon Biodun Omoleye has commiserated with the  government and Progressives family  in Ekiti State over the demise of a frontline politician and elderstatesman, Chief George Akosile.
In his condolence message Hon Omoleye, a member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II at the Green Chamber  said ” Baba served God and humanity diligently and has finished his race on earth to receive his crown of glory”.
Omoleye,former Chief of Staff to governor  Kayode Fayemi therefore  commiserated with the family, associates and followers of an iconic administrator, a political genius and revered elder statesman, Chief George Akosile, who slept in the Lord on Friday the 16th of June 2023.
According to him  the death of Akosile was as an irreparable loss not only to his family but to Ekiti State, Nigeria and humanity in general.
“Chief Akosile was a frontline politician and selfless community leader who used his life to touch and impact many lives. He was a seasoned public servant who retired at the peak of his career as Permanent Secretary in the Old Ondo State before joining active politics. He was a party man to the core. The vacuum created by his death will be too difficult to fill. He was an elder statesman in the true sense of it.” Omoleye opined.
“Chief Akosile lived a life devoted to nation building, served in different capacities, contributing immensely to the development of various sectors in Ondo and Ekiti States. ” the statement reads in part .
His strides as permanent secretary of the ministries of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Works and Finance in the old Ondo state have been platforms upon which numerous successes have been recorded.
“As a politician, Pa Akosile served as the chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), he also served as Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Matters to former Ekiti State Governor Dr John Kayode Fayemi during his first administration. Chief Akosile recently served under the Governor Biodun Oyebanji led Administration as the Chairman of the Appointments Committee. Until his demise, Chief George Akosile was the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC)’s elder’s forum.
Omoleye enjoined the children to build on and sustain the good legacy of their patriarch. “Baba served God and humanity diligently and has finished his race on earth to receive his crown of glory.
He will be sorely missed. May the departed soul to rest in peace.” Omoleye concluded.
