16Days of Activism: Ekiti Monrach,Students Join FELAD’s  Campaign Against  Gender Based Violence

The Executive Director,Foundation For Excellent Living and Development, Felad , Olajumoke Omisore  has promised that her organisation would  sustain campaign to eliminate Gender Based Violence(GBV) in Ekiti .
She gave this assurance during  a sensitisation campaign against the menace as part of the activities held in commemorating 16days  of Activism against gender based violence,
The NGO ,in partnership with the Ekiti State Ministry of Women Affairs  held programme in four Secondary Schools in Ilejemeje Local Government.
The  Advocacies  and Sensitisation were held in Ijesamodu comprehensive secondary school,Ilejemeje community High School,Iludun High School and Oniyo Grammar school.
Ms  Omisore who  hosted the panel session on prevention of gender based violence and the students representatives from the four schools proffered solutions to prevent and mitigate it .
Efforts  were made  at Identifying the root cause ,Punishment for violators and Sensitization of the parents and teachers.
The programme offered rare opportunities to the participants  to seek clarifications on issues relating to the subject matter .
FELAD was encouraged  sustsin the event as a constant reminder in the communities.
To wrap up the activism the non governmental organization hosted a conference at Iye Ekiti town hall with the presence of Royal Highness Oniye of Iye Ekiti and other dignitaries.
One of the facilitators, Friday Edoise explained the objectives of the 16Days of Activism against gender based violence, the types of Violence and why it should be eliminated in our society for better living.
 Olori Oniye  encouraged them to be ambassadors of love and peace and treat one another with respect and love in the school.
 Chief Mrs kupolati addressed them on gender based violence why they should not allow it in their society.
