After months of silence and internal wrangling within the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, has finally declared support for Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Oyo State.
Folarin announced his endorsement of Alli during a meeting at his residence in Ibadan, a move that followed reported presidential intervention aimed at reconciling aggrieved stakeholders who were displeased with Alli’s emergence.
His declaration is expected to put an end to speculations about a divided Oyo APC and strengthen the party’s unity ahead of the 2027 polls.
The endorsement took place at Folarin’s residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, and follows a presidential intervention after months of silence from key Oyo APC stakeholders who had grievances over Alli’s emergence.
