Former Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon (Dr) Femi Bamisile, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for directing the state to the right path and achieving the vision of its founding fathers in the last three years.
Dr Bamisile said he was fascinated with the political and economic direction the state is toeing under Governor Oyebanji, that is strengthening the bond of unity among the citizens and emerging a new economic order that is improving the standards of living of the people.
The Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Delegated Legislation, gave the commendations, in his congratulatory message issued on Thursday, marking the third anniversary of Governor Oyebanji in the saddle of governance.
Dr Bamisile stated that the outstanding and distinctive accomplishments of the governor in infrastructures, agriculture, human capital development, youth empowerment and job creation, and governance, vividly attested to the fact that Ekiti didn’t make a mistake of electing Oyebanji.
The Federal lawmaker added that most exhilarating to him was how the governor was uniting all political tendencies and healing the past wounds, saying Ekiti is no longer entangled with the sordid trends of disunity, internal crises, and bad blood, making the state to be in the news for bad reasons.
“On behalf of my family and political supporters, I congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji, his wife, and the entire Ekiti citizens on the tremendous achievements and outstanding performance this government has brought in three years.
“To me, it was a three years of epic battles and enigmatic accomplishments across all the sectors of the economy.
“Governor Oyebanji has succeeded in changing the stereotyped narrative and odious rhetoric that homegrown politicians were bereft of qualities and capacities to govern by his impressive delivery in the areas of economy and politics.
“Today in Ekiti State, there is no town out of the 140 that has no viable project. It is either you have enjoyed road, electricity, school renovation, employment, agriculture mechanisation, and many others. No town is alienated.
“Before his advent, our political leaders didn’t see eye-to-eye. This odious narrative and sour point has been broken. Our leaders are now solidly bonded and showing good direction for the followers to navigate without squabbles.
“Putting Ekiti on the world map of a state where operational and viable airport facility is located alone, was suffice for the people to reelect Governor Oyebanji.
“I can brag and pontificate that Ekiti people are not ingrates. They will reciprocate the gesture with bumper harvest of votes on June 20, 2026 governorship election where Governor Oyebanji will fly the flag of the All Progressives Congress.
“I once again congratulate all Ekiti citizens, our elderstatesmen, political leaders and all APC members for electing a leader we can trust, with capacity and knack to unite the people”, Dr Bamisile stated.
