3rd Anniversary: Supreme Council Hails Oyebanji’s Politics Of Inclusivity

The President Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Ekiti State – Alhaji Dr. Hammed Afolabi Bakare has landed leadership style of governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, particularly,for embracing inclusive politics .

Speaking on Friday, at a special jumat thanksgiving service held at the Central Mosque, Oja Oba, Ado Ekiti, in commemoration of the third anniversary of ‘Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji administration, Alhaji Bakare Oyebanji has performed creditably well in the last three years.

The Muslim leader therefore charged the governor not to derail but to remain focus inorder to deliver more dividends of democracy to the citizenry .

Earlier in his sermon during the Jumm’at Khutbah, the Grand Imam of Ekiti State and President, League of Imams and Alfas Southwest, Edo and Delta States, Fadheelat Sheikh(Dr.) Jamiu Kewulere Bello appreciated Allah for directing the Governor aright to be able to perform exceedingly well in three years, urging him to be thankful to God for giving him the strength and wisdom to serve at this auspicious time.

The Cleric appealed to all politicians to always exhibit humility before God and the people, saying they shall all be accountable for all their deeds on the judgement’s day.

The Imam charged the governor and his team to continue to be steadfast and be fair to all indigenes, regardless of political and religious differences.

Speaking at the special spiritual session, Oyebanji commended the Muslims Ummah in the state for their consistent support and sense of solidarity for his administration.
“I appreciate the Chief Imam and Muslims in Ekiti for their support and prayers. I will continue to stand with you”.

The Jumu’at Programmes was rounded off by a special prayer session for the administration, Ekiti State at large and the federal republic of Nigeria.

Present at the service are: Ekiti State Deputy, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, Speaker, House of Assembly, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye, Secretary to the State Government, Prof Habibat Adubiaro, commissioners, Special Advisers, among others.
