The group of former Chairmen during the tenure of Gov Abiola Ajimobi known as KOSELERI group has paid tributes to the former governor to mark the 75th posthumous birthday.
A statement signed by the chairman of the group, Hon Yekeen Popoola, described the late Governor as visionary Leader whose legacy of service and inspiration would continue to resonate in the hearts of people of Oyo State in particular.
Popoola said today marked what would have been the 75th birthday of Sen. Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi, a revered political leader, mentor, and father figure whose contributions continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of many.
Koseleri group would never forget his dedication to public service, he left an indelible mark throughout the length and breadth of Oyo State as governor.”
Popoola stated that celebrating the achievements of the former governor and honoring his unwavering commitment to infrastructural development of the state which led to transformation of the state was one of the aspects of his tenure that the people of the state find it very difficult to quickly forget.
Ajimobi started his government with groundbreaking policies that changed the face of the state capital and also transformed the lives of countless individuals. “Gov Abiola embodied the true spirit of leadership”, Popoola reiterated.
Ajimobi foray into politics after years of working in private organisations was something to be learnt in the classroom because he quickly established himself as a force for change, advocating for social change, infrastructural development and transformation agenda.
