News Alert: Federal Appointment: Ekiti Monarchs Make Case For Ex Deputy Governor, Musa Ayeni 

Some prominent traditional rulers in Ekiti State have made passionate  appeal to Presideht Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider one of their sons and leading lights in the state , Alhaji Musa Ayeni ( PhD)  for appointment.

In a  rare display of love and confidence , the monarchs, in a Confidential Letter to Tinubu entitled :PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION FOR APPOINTMENT: ADEBAYO MUSA AYENI  made special recommendation for the former deputy governor in the old Ondo State .

The letter was  jointly signed by the Ewi of Ado- Ekiti ,Oba Ruphus  Adeyemo  Adejugbe  Ajero of Ijero-Ekiti, Oba Adebayo Adewole ,the Alara of Aramoko,Oba Olu Adeyemi ,

Other signatories were ; the Elrmure of Emure-Ekiti ,Oba Emmanuel Adebayo ,the Onitaji of Itaji-Ekiti,Oba Adamo Babalola and the Onigede of Igede-Ekiti ,Oba James Aladesuru.

The monarchs described Alhaji Ayeni as their confidant and benefactor as Commissioner for Agriculture, Commissioner for Commerce and industries and later  Deputy Governor in the old Ondo State.

They posited that appointing the calibre of Ayeni,who they described as a world class scholar, seasoned administrator, politician and community leader and philanthropist  would no doubt help in achieving success in the renewed hope agenda of Mr President.

The letter reads : Alhaji Ayeni engagements in government.He is very focused,approachable and he enjoyed cooperation because his activities are  transparently selfless.Hs is God fearing and very prayerful.

“Therefore,Alhaji Ayeni’s respect for and kindness to royal fathers in or out of
governance have never been a surprise to us.We have continued to make public appreciation to him for his indelible and benevolent disposition towards our affairs.”Mr President sir,we belief that for all your nine-point agenda for the next three years,you need at different strategic levels of implementation people like Alhaji   Ayeni to bring to bear experiences and versatility in achieving successful completion  of  time-bond’operations.Alhaji  Ayeni  engagements  under  such  operations in the past are testimonies of why we vouched he could still do the best under the present circumstances.

“Mr President sir,we belief that for all your nine-point agenda for the next three years,you need at different strategic levels of implementation people like Alhaji   Ayeni to bring to bear experiences and versatility in achieving successful
completion  of  time-bond’operations.Alhaji  Ayeni  engagements  under  such  operations in the past are testimonies of why we vouched he could still do the best under the present circumstances.”Alhaji Ayeni was appointed Time-Prefect’ensuring timely regulation of schools   activities in his final year in the primary school.He was again appointed Science  Laboratory Assistant(SLA)in class Il(now JSS3)under close supervision by one of us today who was then his teacher.Alhaji Ayeni later presented a scientific model on time-alarm’system to the amazement of regulatory inspectors from WAEC who eventually approved his school for registration of students for the three sciences viz Biology,Chemistry and Physics.In his penultimate year to graduation,he was in addition to being an SLA,appointed as School Librarian.He remained the first and only student to occupy these strategic positions up till today in the history of his secondary school.

“As a university scholar Alhaj Ayeni became the University Officiating Imam for twelve years at the beginning of which he would wait for the count of twelve worshippers on Fridays before mounting the pulpit to deliver Jumat Khutbah.He left the community while leading a Jumat congregation in their hundreds.In the  academic world he won both Federal and University scholarships during his Master’s and Doctoral programmes and re-awarded the proceeds to indigent colleges in the University.He was the first student to become lecturer in the Bio- chemistry Department of Obafemi Awolowo University.

“In governance,he met food security level at 3%in 1988 and changed it to 74%by  1990 as commissioner for agriculture in old Ondo State.The ODUA Trade Fair was bedeviled by a 15-year old wrangling between state and regional chapters of chambers of commerce in the State.As commissioner for commerce and industries and one of us today then his Director General,he resolved the crisis, built the present Ondo State trade fair complex all within 3 months.The successful trade fair was attended by him as the Deputy Governor of the State. Before his appointment as deputy governor,there were over 120 chieftaincy disputes.Alhaji Ayeni came up with blueprint on chieftaincy and increased our  allowances by 150%and resolved over 80%of disputed in less than two  years.He sought for and obtained government approval to provide funds for official cars  and escort for the chairman and vice chairman of Royal council in the state,first of such gesture in the South-western part of Nigeria.
