Ekiti State governor Biodun Oyebanji has again reaffirmed his administration’s readiness to boost agriculture through revolutionizing farming in the state.


The governor also promised to prioritize the welfare of the farmers by partnering with both local and international development agencies, NGOs, corporate Organizations as well as individuals to boost agricultural production in the State.
Speaking through his Senior Special Assistant on Agricultural Extension, Dr Sikiru Olowpyo at a parley with the leadership of All Farmers Association (AFAN) ,the governor advocated a paradigm shift from the existing formalities and embrace a situated radicalized farming that can allow for rapid industrialization in the State.
The SSA begins a statewide farmer’s engagement to intimate them on the current and various interventions of the BAO led administration in Agricultural sector and the need to take the advantages of these new initiatives.
“BAO Culture was designed as an initiative to revolutionize farming in the State through massive engagement of our teaming youths in model precision farming to create wealth, food security and employment.”
In his remarks, the Ekiti Chairman of AFAN , Mr Adebola Adeniran Alagbada who thanked the governor and his aide said his members were prepared to embrace improved technique in farming activities .
Alagbada alleged that farmers before now have been marginalized,stressing that that it’s now obvious that a new dawn is here for the farmers with Oyebanji’s administration.
He therefore promised on behalf of the farmers in the State to key into the shared prosperity agenda of the State Government.
