CMD Hails Ilawe Community’s N30million Donation To Federal Teaching Hospital 

The  Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti,Professor Adekunle Ajayi has described the N30million donstion to the institution as a significant display of community support.
Professor Ajayi gave the remarks while receiving the cheque from the Ilawe Ekiti community, under the leadership of  the Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, AFUNTADE 1.The donation was to support the Federal Teaching Hospital Annex in Ilawe Ekiti.
The CMD ,who expressed profound gratitude to the Ilawe Ekiti community for the generous donation  added that  ‘It’s clear that Ilawe Ekiti has been able to accomplish this remarkable feat because of the unity that exists in this great town.’
The CMD revealed that the Federal Teaching Hospital Annex in Ilawe Ekiti would specialize in eye care services, a move that would significantly enhance healthcare delivery in the region and beyond.
He assured the community that the hospital would utilize the donated funds judiciously, ensuring that the annex becomes a center of excellence, especially in eye care.”
This donation demonstrates the strong bond between the Ilawe Ekiti community and the Federal Teaching Hospital Annex, underscoring the community’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the region.
This generous contribution is in line with the community’s commitment to supporting the development of the hospital annex, as emphasized during the 2024 Ilawe Ekiti Unity Day celebrations.
The event highlighted the community’s dedication to enhancing healthcare services in the area.
Earlier  Oba Alabi expressed his gratitude to Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, for his invaluable contributions to the development of Ilawe-Ekiti, particularly in the establishment of the hospital annex and the Federal College of Education.
The monarch also commended other notable sons and daughters of Ilawe, including Senator Yemi Adaramodu, DIG Abiodun Alabi Rtd, The Local Government Chairman, Hon. Apolola Richard, Special Adviser to Ekiti State Governor on Social Investment Programs, Hon. Yemisi Ayokunle, and others, for their tireless efforts in supporting the community.
Another prominent  indigene and human rights  activist, Femi Falana, SAN, commended the leadership of Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi,  describing him as a visionary monarch who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development of Ilawe-Ekiti.
 He noted that the Alawe’s leadership has been instrumental in mobilizing the community towards achieving tangible progress.
Mr. Falana promised to continue supporting the monarch’s initiatives, pledging to do his best in contributing to the growth and development of Ilawe-Ekiti.
 He expressed optimism that the community would continue to thrive under the Alawe’s leadership, and looked forward to collaborating with him on future projects that would benefit the town.
