Ekiti 2026 : I am Still In The Race – Kayode Ojo Responds To Disqualification

 

Governorship Aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Engineer Kayode Ojo has reacted to his qualifications from the race by National Working Committee (NWC) saying that the issue would be resolved .

Engr. Ojo, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday said in as much as he recognized and respect the NWC, he however enjoined his support not to be discouraged or demoralized, and assured them that he’s still in the race to contest the primary election by October 27, 2025.

He expressed to Ekiti people, and his teaming supporter across the globe for turning out enmass yesterday to for his home coming and official declaration for the governorship contest.

Responding to the news of his disqualification by the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC

“Ekiti kete and my teaming supporters across the globe, I am overwhelmed by the turn out in millions during my home coming on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at our great party secretariat, Ado Ekiti. I wish to state that I am still in the race and will definitely contest the primary elections.

He enjoins his supporter to continue to fly the APC flag high and support Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda which he (Kayode OJo) has keyed into with the rescue mission in Ekiti State.
