Eid-el Fitri : Let Fear of God Remain Alive – Bakare charges Ekiti Muslims

 

The President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Ekiti State chapter , Alhaji (Dr.) Hammed Bakare has congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of the mandatory 30-day Ramadan Fast .

Alhaji Bakare,in his Sallah message extended warm Eid greetings to Muslims in Ekiti State, Nigeria and beyond.

The Muslim leader said Ramadan had taught Muslims patience, gratitude, forgiveness, and devotion to Allah, adding that they should let these lessons shape their lives.

He used the occasion to thank Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Imams, Alfas, and scholars of the Deen who guided Muslims through Quran, hadith, and wisdom

“As the blessed crescent gives way to Shawwal, and bid farewell to the Holy month of Ramadan, I extend warm Eid greetings to all Muslims in Ekiti State, Nigeria and beyond.

“Ramadan has taught us patience, gratitude, forgiveness, and devotion to Allah. Let these lessons shape our lives. May our communities be united, our hearts be softened, and our actions reflect the mercy we’ve sought. Alhamdulillah for the strength to complete Ramadan’s fasts, prayers, and acts of charity. May Allah accept our ibadah, forgive our shortcomings, and unite us in His mercy.

“Let me start my greetings by thanking Allah the Lord of the Universe. My special appreciation goes to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Imams, Alfas, and scholars of the Deen who guided us through Quran, hadith, and wisdom. Your efforts sow peace, your gestures of goodwill are appreciated and I pray that Allah grants you strength to nurture Nigeria’s peace, justice, and progress.

“My special greeting also goes to the President General, League of Imams and Alfas in South-West Edo and Delta, His Eminence Alh Jamiu Kewulere. I pray for Allah to strengthen him, may He bless Ekiti with harmony, growth, and piety and Nigeria’s diversity be strengthen, its leaders be guided, and its people live in security and may we all emerge from Ramadan better servants, and pray that Allah count us among those freed from the Hell Fire.

“To my brothers and sisters let the taqwawe nurtured in this Holy month of Ramadan remain alive. Hold fast to honesty in trade, kindness to neighbors, regular salah, Qur’an reading and continuous charity beyond Eid. Let us shun division, gossip, and extravagance, and carry forward patience, forgiveness, and service to the poor into daily life.

“May our homes be filled with barakah, our communities with harmony, and Nigeria with security and justice.” the statement said
