Resurrection Power Rekindles Hope for a Greater Nigeria – Ex-ALGON Boss Popoola Felicitates Christians

As Christians across Nigeria and around the world commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, former Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State chapter, Hon. Yekeen Popoola, has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian faithful, urging them to embrace the season’s enduring message of hope, sacrifice, and renewal.

Hon. Popoola in a statement described the resurrection of Jesus Christ as a powerful symbol of victory over despair and a reminder that no situation is beyond redemption. He noted that the significance of Easter goes beyond religious observance, offering a timely call for unity, resilience, and faith in the face of Nigeria’s current challenges.

“Easter is a season that rekindles our collective hope,” Popoola said. “The resurrection of Jesus Christ assures us that after every trial comes triumph, and after every darkness, light will surely emerge. This is a message Nigeria needs now more than ever.”

He called on Nigerians, particularly those in leadership positions, to reflect on the virtues of selflessness, humility, and service exemplified by Christ, emphasizing that sustainable development can only be achieved through genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.

Hon. Popoola also encouraged citizens to remain steadfast and optimistic, urging them not to lose faith in the nation’s potential. According to him, the spirit of Easter should inspire renewed dedication to peace, tolerance, and nation-building.

“As we celebrate, let us remember the importance of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. These are the values that bind us together and pave the way for a more prosperous and united Nigeria,” he added.

He concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful and peaceful Easter celebration, praying that the blessings of the season bring renewed strength and abundant grace to every home.

“May the risen Christ fill our hearts with peace and guide our nation toward lasting progress,” Popoola said.
