A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Engineer Kayode Ojo, has condemned the gruesome murder of a Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church and the abduction of several members of the Church in Eda-Oniyo in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The frontline politician described the latest development as unfortunate, unacceptable, and an act of cowardice by unscrupulous elements unleashing terror on innocent members of the public for unjustifiable reasons.
Engineer Ojo, in a statement by the spokesperson of his Campaign Organisation, Femi Awojobi said ” here is a need to put an end to the latest recurrence of this ugly development in Ekiti State .
He also called for a urgent and holistic measures to arrest the culprits and rescue the victims without much delay. ”
Engineer Ojo described the invasion of the church by yet to be identified Gunmen which led to the killing of the Church Pastor and the abduction of several members of the Church as worrisome, barbaric and callous.
He stressed that there is no doubt that such an attack will create fear, panic and grief for the people of the State, hence the urgent need for all Security agencies in the State to collaborate as a team to form a formidable body to bring the perpetrators to justice.

“Engineer Ojo said it was time the Security agencies in the State pull their resources together to work out a more professional modality to put an immediate halt to the continued attacks on innocent people across the State and in the country.
He reiterated that the gruesome murder of a Pastor was unfortunate, appalling, and untoward, urging the Police and other Security agencies to work together to bring the culprits to book to serve as a deterrent to everyone in their camp.
The APC chieftain commiserated with the traditional ruler of Eda Oniyo-Ekiti, the immediate families of the victims and members of the Christian Association of Nigeria in the State and prayed God to console everyone over the loss.
He urged the people of Ekiti State to always be their brothers’ keepers and at the same time, be more security conscious.
Engineer Ojo also advised residents of Ekiti State to always assist the government and the Security agencies with useful and timely information whenever they notice unusual visitors and suspicious movements around their environment.
