After 30 Years Of Estrangement, Razaq Okoya’s First Son Appeals For Reconciliation, Accuses Shade Of Blocking Access

Fatai Okoya, 66, the first child of Chief Razaq Okoya, has appealed publicly for reconciliation with his father after 30 years of estrangement. During a TikTok Live session.

He alleged that although he attended his father’s 86th birthday celebration, Shade Okoya prevented him from meeting his father, whom he said he only wanted to spend time with.

The estranged son attributed their disagreement partly to a minor incident involving money he took when he was younger and his decision to marry a woman his father disapproved of.

He insisted that he did not embezzle a large sum and said he had made several attempts to restore their relationship. His daughter, Zee, disclosed that she had never had a relationship with her grandfather and alleged that their attempts to contact him were repeatedly blocked.

Chief Razaq Okoya’s brother also criticised the alleged intervention, while the session’s host appealed to Baba Ijebu Adebutu Kessington, a friend of the businessman, to help reconcile father and son. Fatai apologised again, recalling their close relationship during his childhood and stressing that he was the only child his mother had for his father.

Fatai hinted that people are always afraid to offend his father because the man will never forgive or forget.
