Alhaji Ibrahim Ladan Duguri, Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA), and four of his children have died in a fatal road accident in Bauchi State.
The accident reportedly occurred on Saturday evening as the family travelled to Yelwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area. Four children — Hajara, Usman, Rukayya and Maryam — died alongside their father, while another son, Suleiman, sustained critical injuries.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy, describing Duguri’s death as a significant loss to the state’s health sector. He extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the recovery of the surviving child and the peaceful repose of the deceased.
