Artificial Fuel Scarcity: NUJ Seeks Heavy Sanctions Against  Exploitative Marketers

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council has urged governor Biodun Oyebanji  to impose heavy sanction on  some independent  marketers who are exploiting innocent residents of Ekiti by creating artificial Scarcity.
The Union while condemning the criminal upward review of pump prices in the state maintained that if is high time government made example of erring marketers .
Acstatement signed by the Chairman of the council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela and the Secretary  Comrade Kayode Babatuyi alleged that the action of the marketers  have shown that they were prepared to make profit at the expense of the well being of  the populace.
The statement urged  the  leadership of the petroleum marketers to call their members to order and ask them to wait for further government directive on the matter
The union  therefore   charged the  government to wield it’s big stick on erring marketers saying their actions if not checked may lead to another crisis.
