Azikiwe  Foundation  Honours SWEF President, Hellen Taiwo-Adebakin

The Nnamdi Azikiwe Foundation has honoured a  trailblazing advocate for women’s rights and national President, Southern Women Empowerment Forum (SWEF),Dr Hellen Taiwo-Adebakin .
Chief Chineme Onyeke and Professor Echefuna Onyebaadi, Director  General and Chairman, Board of Trustees of the foundation respectively, in a letter conferred the “Inspirational Woman Of Year Award ” on Dr Taiwo-Adebakin, in appreciation of her outstanding contributions to nation building and exemplary service. The foundation also appointed  SWEF ,as partner .
Dr Adebakin  has improved the lives of countless women and girls.She has been instrumental in shaping policy and legislation and  activism has inspired a new generation of leaders. She has  also created opportunities for marginalized communities to have their voices heard.
Adebakin is the brain behind the upcoming National  Women’s Conference,
titled : “Empowering Voices; Inspiring Change. Celebrating A Year of Impact “
The conference is scheduled to hold  on Friday,February  28 ,2025 at  Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartnent ,Asokoro,Abuja.
This event aims to bring together women from diverse backgrounds to share experiences, learn from each other, and empower one another.
The  conference objectives include:: Fostering networking opportunities among women leaders and professionals, Providing a platform for sharing best practices and success stories, Addressing key challenges facing women today.and  Inspiring and motivating women to take leadership roles.
