Aribasoye said this in his congratulatory message, marking the birthday of the First Lady slated for November 8 of every year.

The Chairman, House Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs, said Ekiti was lucky to have another first lady in the ilk of Erelu Bisi Fayemi to sustain the battle of gender equality, protection, emancipation and empowerment already being entrenched through the progressive party in Ekiti.

Aribasoye saluted the outstanding social and academic accomplishments of Dr Oyebanji, who was an associate Professor at the University of Ibadan before nature bestowed on her the current leadership in Ekiti after the election of her husband as the governor.

He praised the first lady for fighting against all odds to become a renowned scholar in an environment that is not gender sensitive, thereby carving a niche for herself as one of the few priceless female academics Ekiti can boast of.

The lawmaker prayed God to continually imbue Dr Oyebanji with wisdom and good health to contribute more to humanity in all facets.

“Let me congratulate your Excellency for adding another glorious year to your highly rewarding and positively impactful life.

“Without equivocation, before getting to this current position, you have carved a respectable niche for yourself as an outstanding scholar, gender advocate and mentor to many future leaders.

“You have proven that a woman can be self -made in your exploits by passing through the vicissitudes of life and stand as a steely and manly woman, whose voice can’t be subjugated in any gathering.

“I know that with your current position, Ekiti people will have course to laugh because you have always been a blessing to humanity.

“I pray that the good Lord shall direct your footsteps always, grants you good and sound health and take you to a higher pedestal for the rest of your life”.
