A road crash involved a total of 31 people comprising 11 Male occupants, one female have left 19 persons dead .
The victims and others whose sexuality could not be ascertained as of the time of carrying out the rescue due largely to the intensity of the fire that burnt them.,the Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) has said
The crash reportedly occurred on Yangoji–Gwagwalada Road, Abuja on Sunday.
A statement on Sunday by Mr.Bisi Kazeem,
Corps Public Education Officer, FRSC, said the ill-fated crash involved a total of 31 people comprising 11 Male occupants, one female, and 19 others whose sexuality could not be ascertained as of the time of carrying out the rescue due largely to the intensity of the fire that burnt them.
“Out of the 31 victims, eight people comprising seven males and one female sustained various degrees of injuries, while 19 others were burnt beyond recognition,” he said.
He said following the unfortunate fatal crash that occured in the early hours of Sunday, the Acting Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Ali Biu, has again cautioned road users to as much as possible avoid excessive speed, wrongful overtaking and other bad driving behaviour.
