– condemns opposition’s alleged attempts to derail democracy
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu has lashed out at the alleged attempts by members of the opposition political parties to derail democracy.
Adamu, made this condemnation during his post election brief conference held in Abuja where he thanked Nigerians for standing by APC and its Presidential candidate( now President-elect ) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the keenly contested poll.
He disclosed that the party would approach the March 11 Governorship and State Assembly elections with all the seriously it deserve.
The APC leader expressed regret that the party lost most of its strongholds in the North and Southern part of the country, he however have thanks to God that the party won the Presidency.
“APC is not a greedy party, we are going to win all the winnable and we shall also made some sacrifices where necessary inorder to deepen democracy. What moral justification does a political party that wins Lagos has to cry foul over ot defeat in a state like Ekiti
“.We lost most our strongholds like Lagos ,Kano, Katsina and we did not cry foul .We have learnt some basic lessons in the last election. Though, it was very painful that we lost these strategic states but God Almighty replaced it with other that He blessed fir us to deliver Presidency to our party ” Adamu said
