Breaking  PDP Crisis: Umar Damagum, Emerges Acting Chairman As Ayu Steps Aside 

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has appointed Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity.

Some PDP members were aggrieved over the failure of the party to emerge victorious in the last Febuary Presidential poll .They blamed the abysmal performance of the party on the alleged highandedness of the embattled chairman Ayu.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, announced this at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party’s secretariat.

Damagun will replace Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman of the party, following Ayu’s suspension.
