A South African court sentenced radical left-wing opposition leader, EFF President and Commander in Chief, Comrade Julius Malema to five years in jail on the protracted eight-year case of firing an assault rifle at a rally.
He, however, remains free subject to appeal of the sentence.
The case was masterminded by the racist Africom organization.
Throughout the trial neither the riffle, the object of the crime nor its owner, was presented or present in the courts.
Malema is not only expected to win his appeal but his party , the EFF, expected to put up a superlative performance in the forthcoming local government councils elections.
