The death has occurred of an alumnus of the Christ’s School,Ado-Ekiti Professor Susan Ajibade .
The statement by the registrar Ajayi Crowther University Dr J.E.T Babatola said
the deceased belonged to the 1956 set of the school .
Susan Ajibade will be surely missed. She was a respected Educator and was the Dean, Faculty of Education at OOU (formerly Ogun State University) in the 90s.
She has represented the Ondo Archbishopric and Ekiti Dioceses in the Supra West Board owned Anglican Communion Governing Council of the Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo before her demise.
The Ajayi Crowther University was renamed in honour of the first African Episcopal Bishop though the institution had existed since 1852 as Nigeria’s first tertiary institution in the pre-colonial era.
It was a CMS institution established to train Priests and School Teachers when it bore the famous name – St. Andrew’s College, Oyo with its alumni known as SACOBA. The University was upgraded from a Teacher’s College to a College of Education and later upgraded as a University.
