The Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele on Tuesday inspected some projects he facilitated in Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
The projects which were cited in different communities included hospital buildings, medical student’s hostels, library, road infrastructure and Mini-Stadium
Joined by Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji ,the senate leader said the national assembly is working hard and collaborating with other tiers of government to stabilise the economy and Nigeria’s democracy.
Some of the projects visited were in Ado-Ekiti, Aramoko, Eriyiyan, Ijero-Ekiti, Efon- Alaaye in Ekiti Central Senatorial District.
Senator Bamidele said there is continuous unity among the stakeholders in the national assembly.
He lauded the leadership of the alumni association of the Ekiti State University EKSU sdfing that it is working closely with government and other stakeholders in the state to growing the state owned University.
In his remarks governor Oyebanji described Senator Bamidele stand as a symbol of hope and effective leadership and collaborative governance, paving the way for a transformative development for other regions to emulate
He said the initiative is a sign of better days, growth and development to enhance public infrastructures in all the communities in the state.
The governor noted that this collaborative effort is between the state government and the national assembly to proactively address the needs of constituents and to address socio-economic growth of the citizens in Ekiti.
“Ekiti belongs to all of us. If there’s any local government you want to assist, assist them. I will always support the university and see what we can do. As a government, we are going to make a tremendous mark here”.
