The Diaspora Innovation Institute will award outstanding individuals and organizations in its upcoming 2nd edition of the Global Diaspora Champions Award event in Porto, Portugal.
The Head of the organizing committee and Chief Engagement Officer of the Centre for African Studies University of Porto, Prince Akinwale Ojomo.
According to him, the Awards presentation, slated between 5th and 7th December, 2024, is aimed to honour and celebrate outstanding individuals and organisations who have contributed positively and significantly to Migration and Diaspora in direct sub sectors such as; Business and Entrepreneurship, Education and Research, Arts, Culture & Entertainment, Healthcare and Wellness, among others.
He explained that the 3-day event will also feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, Leadership Training and the Champion Awards gala, providing a platform for engagement, networking and celebration.
The statement reads, “The Diaspora Innovation Institute, a thought leader in global migration research facilitation dedicated to promoting diaspora engagement, innovation, and excellence, is pleased to announce the second edition of the Diaspora Champions Awards.
“Building on the success of its auspicious inaugural event held in Las Palmas, Spain, 2023, the prestigious ceremony will take place in Porto, Portugal, on December 5-7 2024.
