A former member of the National Assembly, Hon Bimbo Daramola (alias congressman) has congratulated Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) as he assume the mantle of leadership as the new governor of Ekiti State .
Daramola, in his goodwill message entitled :CONGRATULATIONS ABBEY CITY said with his Inauguration, Oyebanji has “signed a pact with God and man above all innocent beleaguered people of Ekiti
The convener of the OneUnitedAfrica initiative also advised the new governor ” to be guided by the import of this and always remember where you came from, never lose touch with your realities”
The statement reads “My brother #ABBEY #CITY- #His #Excellency #Biodun #Abayomi #Oyebanji.. today the 16th of October 2022, you signed a pact with God and man above all innocent beleaguered people of Ekiti, be guided by the import of this and always remember where you came from, never lose touch with your realities.
Power is transient. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and as often as possible, remember that power is best when it’s used to impact lives and the society.”
The former federal lawmaker also cautioned the new governor to be wary of the antics of political hangers on while in the office
“Never let Palace courtiers take away your mind, you are mounting the saddle at a time of great challenges and ahead of you lay the huge overburden and debris from your predecessor , be real with yourself and Ekiti people.
“Modest fanfare, and moderated feeling of conquest but let my sister, your wife be given one most important task , which is to remind you OH KING THOU HATH MAN …
“You have taken your compass , take your own trajectory, wear your own shoes and don’t walk in anyone’s imprints , you will leave your own imprints.
“Wear your own recommended glasses and not that of any of your predecessors particularly that of your immediate one. So that your sight will be clear .
