A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bimbo Daramola (alias congressman) has accused certain elements of running a smear campaign on social media against the administration of governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO).
Reacting to what he termed a poorly packaged viral video ,Daramola,a former member of the House of representatives , said no amount of falsehood or deliberate misrepresentation of facts can rubbish the good work of the current administration in Ekiti.
The ex legislator who represented Oye- Ikole Federal Constituency between 2011-2015 maintained that a whole lot has been accomplished under Oyebanji, notwithstanding those pushing hate and bike driven narratives against the government .
He said : ” we are manifestly saying with abundant proofs that the Governor Biodun Oyebanji years till date are not wasted years , what we know and are evidences backed 100%, is that a whole lot has been accomplished that’s obvious to the blind and audible to the deaf except those who obviously have sinister motives, your criticisms are not altruistic as much as you want to push these hate and bike driven narrative!
” Ekiti people’s lives have been impacted in many ways over the last three years plus under Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and this is why there is an overwhelming clamour to have him consolidate over the next four years.
“There is no.sector that Governor Oyebanji has not touched remarkably enough, so taking your phone around on a disparaging voyage at denigrating Oyebanji with almost or nearly isolated instances, situations or cases of locations where jobs are on going, or schools already earmarked for reconstruction is a portrayal of how shallow your depth of understanding is.
“These vacuous efforts just keep falling flat in the face of logic as much as you try, and i am wondering if you guys won’t be honest for once!
“Are we saying the job of “once and for all the final transformation of Ekiti has been done and dusted? Hell No! It’s not all done, but most obviously we are surely and steadily on course, that’s not debatable.
“You spotting a school that has not been done, why not go to the many dozens of others that have been done , either rehabilitated or newly done like the model schools, your phone or brains if you have any won’t lead you to those, all these done by the Oyebanji that has not done anything o, according to you, and you keep bringing Seyilaw into the narrative, Ekitis do not need Seyilaw to validate what they see and experience, Guys don’t you just gerrit!
For you guys to know, do our people in Omuo need Seyi law to tell them the new lease of life they now live in, after Governor Biodun Oyebanji reconnected their power source after almost twenty years?
Development is a journey not a destination, even in the US or UK, where some of you have lived or been to, you get to some places and go like, is this Washington DC or London sometimes?

“Are you guys also oblivious of the peace and serenity that pervades the State, four months from Gubernatorial elections not one case of assault from anywhere, just as it had been all through the Oyebanji years till date, oh you guys do not think this is quantitative and substantial enough or you think its a given? Then you go 20 years back in time and sound check”
