Ekiti 2026 : Muslims Hopeful For More Opportunities In Politics, Governance – NSCIA President Bakare

 

The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) ,Ekiti State has admonished Muslims to always seek both western and Islamic knowledge.

Addressing council members during the first meeting for the year 2026 hosted by Efon Alaaye Local Government, the NSCIA President in Ekiti State ,Dr Hammed Afolabi Bakare expressed deep appreciation for the support and sacrifice of members towards the course of Islam in the state .

Alhaji Bakare acknowledged the good gestures of the current administration of governor Biodun Oyebanji to the Muslims in Ekiti ,hoping that more opportunities would be extended to them in the coming dispensation .

The NSCIA appealed to Muslims to always be good ambassadors of Islam at all times .

” I want welcome each and everyone of you to this meeting which in the first in the year 2026.Imust also use the opportunity to acknowledge your immense sacrifices. We have been spending our personal resources to attend the council meetings,I can only that the Almighty Allah will replenish our pockets .

“I want to pray for our governor Biodun Oyebanji for all has been doing for the Muslim community in Ekiti State .God .May God Almighty continues to put the Muslims interest in the heart of our governor in Ekiti ” Bakare said .

In his lecture centred on the importance of sound Islamic belief in adrrsing contemporary challenges,the Imam Ikole Central Mosque , AbdulAzeez Olatunbosun emphasized the importance of knowledge in Islam .

He urged Muslims to demonstrate the capability to lead by showing good examples and be of exemplary characters in the society

The Muslim cleric equally urged members to prepare for the forthcoming Ramadan fast billed to take off in February.

Another highlight of the meeting was the progress report by the chairman of the Shariah Panel in Ekiti ,Ustaz AndulGaniyu Isinkaye .

Ustaz Isinkaye said the panel made significant impact by resolving some marital crises.
