The Nigerians Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Ekiti State Chapter has applauded the release of the abducted students of the Staff of Christ Apostolic School, Emure-Ekiti.
In the communique signed by Alh (Dr) Hammed Afolabi Bakare and Alhaj Muraina Alabi Jegede, President and Secretary of the Council respectively at the end of its General Meeting held at Central Mosque, Emure-Ekiti ,the Islamic body also decried the killings of two traditional rulers and a School Bus driver by the dare-devil kidnappers in Ekiti in tbe last few days .
While praying to God to give the deceased families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss ,the Council enjoined the government at all levels to intensify efforts in curbing the dangerous trend of insecurities in the state and the nation at large.
The Council commended the efforts of the State and Federal Government in securing the freedom of kidnapped people and also empathised with the families of affected people and prayed for the soul of the departed driver of school who was murdered by the kidnappers.
The group hailed the government’s effort at making Ekiti State clean by providing Dino Bins for effective waste disposal.
The used the occasion to advise Muslim young graduates to take opportunity of the Government-sponsored ICT and Agro-business Trainings to equip themselves with life-improving skills that can better their lots financially.
The Council also paid visited the Elemure of Emure Ekiti and the family of the slain driver and prayed for Emure,Ekiti and Nigeria for peace and progress to rein.
