Ekiti NMA Hails Oyebanji Over  Approval of  Pay Parity For Clinical Workers 

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has commended governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji  for approving parity pay for clinical workers  in Ekiti
Dr. Babatunde ROSIJI, the Ekiti State Chairman of NMA in a statement made available to journalists said the union excited  over the governor’s workers friendly disposition since his assumption of office .
Governor Oyebanji on Wednesday outlined a far -reaching palliative packages for workers and people of the state to cushioning the adverse effect of fuel subsidy removal.
Some of reliefs as announced by the governor includes:
“Implementation of consequential adjustment for workers on GL. 14 to GL. 17 for State and Local Government workers.
“Implementation of 90% CONHESS and 100% Hazard Allowance for health workers at the Local Governments.
“Implementation of salary parity for clinical staff of the Hospitals’ Management Board.
“Implementation of financial benefits of 2020 and 2021 promotions for State and Local Government workers.
“Immediate payment of one month subvention arrears to tertiary institution.
“Provision of free shuttle buses for workers and students to ease transportation to/from work and school respectively.”
Recall that the  National Secretariat of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA had commended the governor   for the payment of salary arrears and other benefits of its  members and  health workers in the state.
The medical body gave the commendation in a communique issued at the
end of its  63rd Annual General Conference and Delegates’ Meeting (AGC/DM) held in Jalingo,the Taraba State capital
Signed by the NMA Dr Uche Rowland Ojinmah the body expressed concern over the alleged layback attitude of some states, particularly,  governments  of Abia, Imo and Benue States .
It noted that Oyebanji and the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu have shown serious commitment  to members” welfare by improving  the welfare of Doctors in their respective States.
