Some professors from Ekiti State Unuversity(EKSU) have applauded the appointment of their colleague ,Professor J.O.Olaogun as pioneer Vice Chancellor of the newly established Venite University in Ekiti State .
Olaogun,until his appointment was a Professor in the Sociology Department in EKSU.
As mark of Solidarity and In appreciation of the positive development, a powerful delegation from EKSU visited the new VC at Iloro-Ekiti campus of the insitution.
The team of professors,including the Provost college postgraduate studies EKSU ,Prof Kemi Ogundana and Prof Olu Olu Olufayo, Dean Faculty of the social sciences paid the courtesy visit
Other members of entourage are Prof Christopher Oluwadare ;Prof Wale Adesina, Prof Toyin Adefolaju and Dr L.A. Oluwasanmi.
Dr Dammy Adeleke Seun Alhassan Gbenga Gbadamosi and
Mayowa Ilori were also part of the delegation .
Prof Wale Adesina, who is one of the longest service lecturers in EKSU and father to the department congratulated the new VC and prayed for divine wisdom for him to excel in his new task.
He said the Head of Department of Sociology made the commitment of “doing it group” spirit to the VC .
He assured that they would be willing, available and determined to make Professir Olaogun ‘s tenure as VC delightful , full of good success and impactful as the foundational VC .
Receiving the delegation,Professor Olaogun expressed delight at the generosity of spirits exhibited by his former colleagues stressing that the visit was a soul lifting and morale booster for him .
The VC ,however expressed joy at receiving and reuniting with his own academic family .
