Excitement As Taxi Drivers,Okada Riders Get  ODF Free Fuel In  Ekiti 

Demonstrating  remarkable compassion and empathy,  UK-based Nigerian philanthropist, Hon Opeyemi David Falegan has again reached out to hundreds of Taxi  drivers as well as commercial motorcyclists  in Ekiti by offering them free fuel.

The intervention is being championed through  Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation(better known as ODF).The  exercise  took place at Adekaitan petrol station,Adehun area of Adebayo Ado Ekiti on Saturday 21st , December.2024.

In the last few years,Falegan ,a member of the British Royal Force said the gesture was hus oen little way of supporting the masses who are the worst hit in  the current economic hardship .

Hon Falegan said giving to the poor and underserved sector of the economy also  give him joy,adding that no string is attacked as he was  not seeking political  office.

He therefore urged the beneficiaries to also show empathy and appreciation by ensuring that they charge less Transport fee for commuters .

” I thank God for my life and for giving me the grace to do the little I am doing today to support my people. This is not the first time we are doing this under my Foundation,  Opeyemi David David Falegan Foundation(ODF) .Anyone who has been following us  will testify to the fact  that we have a wide range of programmes for different categories of people. We have for  students  widows, aged and civil servants too.” Falegan said

Falegan, however urged Nigerian leaders, particularly political office holders to show more commitment to alleviating the suffering of the poor mases by being alive to their responsibilities.

Speaking at the distribution  points ,the   foundation’s Director General, Comrade Samuel Ajibola said  that, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan said the free fuel was one of many good things that has been  coming  from Falegan over 8 to 9 years ago.

He also explained that with ODF Foundation is familiar with current economic challenges being faced by Nigerians , particularly in Ekiti ,because, he has a listening ear and has always shared in their pains.

He commended the position of  taxi drivers in information dissemination and further encouraged them to remain the foot soldiers of ODF and to continue to carryout  the good  message of the foundation to all the nooks and crannies of the State.

Some  beneficiaries, commended ODF  Foundation and Hon. Falegan for idehtigying with the poor at this  critical time, stressing that they have their supports to him and his foundation.

Mr.Ajibare Taiwo commended the initiative, noting that it  would add value to his  business.

Another driver, Mr ADU Olatunbosun who expressed gratitude  to the foundation and Hon. Falegan of the free fuel supply,  assured that they will always give him support when needed.

Meanwhile  Mr Ajorin Deji described Falegan as a “true friend of the masses and the leading Philanthropist in Ekiti”

He added that, since he has been matured, he hasn’t seen any philanthropist who will persistently giving to the masses without government funds.
