Controversial politician and former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has hailed the contributions of the former Lagos State governor and Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sustenance of democracy in Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode in a statement obtained from his official Facebook account said Tinubu, throuh his various political interventions had shown greater commitment to justice and ideal democracy.
According to him,Tinubu had ensured that those who fought and died for the enthronement of democracy were immortalised while others who still alive are fairly treated and rewarded.
” BAT fought for the restoration of MKO Abiola’s June 12th mandate and 20 years after he was martyred he ensured that the National Stadium in Abuja was named after him and that June 12th was declared Democracy Day.
‘ There is no greater evidence of his commitment to justice and democracy than this.” Fani-Kayode said .
Recall that the former Minister recently met with Tinubu after long while where he expressed he optimism that his(Tinuhu) presidency would emplade far reaching transformation and development, if elected .
