Ekiti First Lady Acknowledges Media Role In Oyebanji’s Victory 

The wife of the governor of Ekiti  State ,Dr Olayemi Oyebanji  has acknowledged  the media supports in the events leading to her husband’s emergence ,first as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC)  and later as  governor of Ekiti  State.

The First Lady also  expressed deep appreciation to members of the Pen Profession in Ekiti promising Oyebanji’s administration’s continued support  to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)

Speaking while playing host to the leadership of the NUJ and Press Week 2022 Committee in her office in Ado-Ekiti  the governor’s wife said the current administration holds media in high esteem and shall do everything within the limited resources  of her office to sustain the relationship.

Dr Oyebanji  therefore  sought the robust and  collaborative support  of the media towards the successful tenure of the present administration.

According to her , Media as watch dog , plays a major role in economic development of any society  hence the need to carry them along in the day to day running of government business inorder to achieve success.

Dr Oyebanji gave assuarace that the activities of the union would be supported within the resources in the capacity of the office of the first Lady.“Any government that will survive will  not toy with the media  because the institution is very  key and close to the people.You interact with the  people regularly .” Dr Oyebanji said

Earlier,  the Chairman of NUJ Ekiti State council,Comrade  Rotimi Ojomoyela who intimated the Governor’s wife of  the programmes lined up for 2022 Press Week also  urged sought her support towards the success of the programme.
The NUJ chairman  therefore pledged the support of the members of the union with the present administration.

The NUJ would, on Saturday, December 10,2022 decorated governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) as the Grand Patron of the union at the popular Abiodun Adetiloye Hall,Trade Fair Complex ,ADO-EKITI.
