How Adeleke’s  Homeboy Advantage Gives PDP  Victory In Osun Poll

Huge votes from Ede Province for Senator Ademola Adeleke  of the People’s  Democratic Party(PDP) was enough to truncated the second grrm bid of governor Gboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) in the last Saturday Governorship poll.

Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, the Returning Officer (RO) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said  Adeleke polled a total of  403,371 votes to defeat  Oyetola’s 375,027 votes .

Adeleke, who narrowly failed to clinch the position four years ago after a rerun election arising from INEC declaring the initial election “inconclusive” after halting the announcement of results, requiring a runoff,

“I declare that Adeleke Ademola Jackson Nurudeen of PDP, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected,” Professor Ogundipe declared, to a cheering crowd of PDP supporters, thus indicating the end of the tenure of Gboyega Oyetola, who would now have to serve out his remaining months in office.
