The Southern Women Forum(SWF) has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kassim Shettima on their inauguration as President and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria respectively.
The SWF President, ,Dr Hellen Taiwo-Adebakin, in a statement said women across Nigeria are prepared to join hands with the new administration to deliver the much needed dividends of democracy.
Dr Taiwo-Adebakin therefore urged the new administration to prioritise women cause and increase their representations in the leadership positions across the strata of governance.
The statement also urged Nigerians to support the new administration inorder to tackle the hydra- headed insecurity and revamp the ailing economy .
SWF is a platform for eminent female gender and high profile female politicians (serving and former ) from the Southern part of Nigeria,that’s, the SouthWest, SouthSouth & Southeast.
The forum is set up to foster unity ,promote ,celebrate and push for greater representation of women in leadership positions .
