Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) ,Adam’s Oshiomole has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for introducing a controversial currency policy at the twilight of his tenure.
The two-term governor of Edo State said that APC ,as a party had no hand in the draconia policy which has put Nigerians in untold hardships .
Oshiomole, in viral video urged Nigerians not to entertain any fear stressing that their old currency would expire but remain valid after next Saturday’s Presidential election.
Angry Oshiomole insisted that President Buhari must obey the ruling of the Supreme on the matter by allowing the old and new currency to flost side by side in the open market.
” President Buhari must obey the Supreme Court on the matter.The Supreme is superior to any Presidential Speech or Directive. And that is the highest court in the land ” Oshiomole said .
He hinted that top hierarchy of the party had dissociate itself from crazy policy .
The former Edo governor who spoke in pidgin to the cheering crowd in Edo said “Our party don tell Buhari say our hand no dey for the currency crisis. Buhari is on his own on this matter ,wetin you no do during your own election, you wan take am spoil another person chance .That is no good ,but I want to tell you that you should not thrown away your old currency .
“Goodwin Emegiele will expire after Saturday election .The money wey dey your hands no be you print am .So if the government say they wan print new notes dem suppose give you new currency .Our party ,no get hands fir the matter .Let me assure you ,your money will not expire but Emefiele and CBN will expire on Saturday. ” Oshiomhole declared.
